Who we are

God answers operates GOD and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: churchsatan+godapp@icloud.com.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (email, name, sign-in provider ID) — to create your account and sign you in. Basis: contract.
• Questions and answers — to provide answers and keep your conversation. Basis: contract.
• Faith preference (stored on your device) — to answer from your chosen tradition. Basis: contract.
• Subscription status (plan, renewal dates) — to apply your question allowance. Basis: contract.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser info, basic usage) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the service. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to help you. Basis: legitimate interests.

Your questions may reveal religious beliefs. We only process them to answer you, and you can delete them at any time by deleting your account.

Who we share data with

• Service providers: hosting and database, AI model providers that generate answers, and web search tools used to research scripture (your question text is sent to them).
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling plans, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your data. Some providers are outside your country; we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account and conversation are deleted; other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, except where law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the Australian Privacy Act and GDPR), you can access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a regulator (such as the OAIC or your local authority). Email us and we'll respond within one month.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level permissions so only you can read your conversation.

Cookies

We use only essential storage to keep you signed in and remember your faith choice, plus privacy-friendly analytics. You can clear these in your browser settings.
